Turkmenistan and Türkiye discussed deepening bilateral cooperation

Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan, Ahmed Gurbanov, met with the Ambassador of Turkey to Turkmenistan, Ahmet Demirok, to discuss the prospects for the development of Turkmen-Turkish relations, the press service of the Turkmen Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed.

During the negotiations, the parties emphasized the importance of implementing the documents signed during President Serdar Berdimuhamedow's visit to Turkey in October 2023. Diplomats noted the great potential for bilateral trade and economic cooperation.

Special attention was paid to the prospects of cooperation in the energy sector in light of the agreements reached at the third Antalya Diplomatic Forum on March 1, with the participation of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow.

In addition, the participation of the Turkish side in events dedicated to the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Pyragy and the declaration of Anau as the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2024 was discussed.
