Representatives of the Turkmenistan Ministry of Education and a delegation from Nottingham Trent University (UK) held negotiations in Ashgabat, Orient.tm reports.
This mission was carried out as part of the cooperation between the D. Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages and Nottingham Trent University. The university was represented by Dr. Martin Seviour and Sam Barkley.
The parties discussed expanding bilateral cooperation in higher education, particularly in improving English language teaching, teacher training programs, and academic exchanges. They emphasized the importance of developing joint research projects and implementing digital educational tools. Special attention was given to conducting masterclasses and seminars for English language teachers to enhance teaching methodologies and integrate innovative technologies into educational processes.
It is worth noting that Nottingham Trent University had previously conducted professional development courses for relevant institutions in Turkmenistan.
