A ceremonial launch of the dry cargo vessel Gadamly took place yesterday in Turkmenbashi. This was reported by TerraNews, citing the Turkmenportal website. The vessel was built at the Balkan Shipbuilding and Repair Plant with the participation of South Korean specialists.

This is the first of two dry cargo ships with a carrying capacity of 6.1 thousand tons planned for construction under an agreement with the South Korean company Koryo Shipbuilding Industry Technology.

In September 2023, the Balkan plant and KSIT signed an agreement on the joint construction of two dry cargo vessels. On 11 November 2024, the first blocks of the ships under construction were delivered to the plant.
