Turkmenistan advocates for deeper energy cooperation with Central Asian countries and China, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stated during the second "Central Asia–China" summit, according to Turkmen state news agency TDH.
“In the energy sector, Turkmenistan supports the expansion of cooperation within our multilateral format and sees strong potential for this. In this context, we are ready to discuss diversifying the supply routes for Turkmen natural gas. A key element of our energy partnership is the electricity sector, and Turkmenistan also supports expanding the geography and volume of electricity exports,” the Turkmen president said.
President Berdimuhamedov emphasized that boosting trade and commerce, as well as establishing joint ventures across various industries, are crucial to the shared economic prosperity of Central Asian nations and China.
The second "Central Asia–China" summit took place on June 17, bringing together President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Chinese President Xi Jinping, and the leaders of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
