In Turkmenistan, at the latest meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, Deputy Prime Minister Tangryguly Atakhalliyev informed about the ongoing efforts in the country to improve conditions and mechanisms for the rational use of water resources, efficient irrigation of agricultural lands, improvement of land reclamation, and the creation of additional water reserves.
He also reported on the ongoing cleaning of irrigation canals and drainage networks in the regions to maintain their operational condition.
President Serdar Berdymukhamedov emphasized the importance of efforts to create additional water reserves and instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to take measures to strengthen control over the effective and targeted use of water resources.
