Turkmenistan Enters the British Market Through the B2B Exchange Platform in London

A business mission involving representatives of the private sectors of Turkmenistan and the UK has kicked off at the West London Chambers of Commerce headquarters in London. The event, which runs from May 11 to 15, aims to develop trade and economic ties, expand export opportunities, and establish direct contacts between companies from the two countries, Turkmenportal.com reports.

The event was organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and the West London Chamber of Commerce, with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and TurkmenExpo.

The Turkmen delegation included representatives from 20 companies. More than 40 organizations and enterprises are participating on the British side, including Range Rover, Shell, Primark, Berkeley Group, Cambridge University, and Brunel University London.

Opening the event, Alan Rides, CEO of the West London Chamber of Commerce, noted the growing interest of British businesses in Central Asia and emphasized the importance of strengthening the partnership with Turkmenistan. In turn, Mergen Gurdov, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, emphasized the importance of international cooperation for developing the private sector and promoting Turkmen products in foreign markets.

During the business mission, the parties will discuss cooperation in the agricultural sector, textiles, construction, tourism, and education. The program also includes B2B meetings, industry talks, and familiarization visits aimed at finding new partners and developing joint projects.
