Turkmenistan participates in creation of Tourism Partnership Alliance in Central Asia and Xinjiang

Representatives of travel agencies of Turkmenistan signed a document on the creation of the Xinjiang Alliance for Cooperation in Tourism in Central Asia, which will explore the resources of members and their experience in managing the industry, CCTV reported.

The signing ceremony took place as part of a conference dedicated to the development of tourism in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China in the west of the country. During meetings between various business structures and state-owned enterprises, multimillion-dollar contracts were signed in various fields.

The event was attended by the main tourism departments of Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. The document provides for assessments of tourism resources, a review of the tourism market, a forecast of development indices and other key indicators in the area under consideration.

The parties also agreed to cooperate and promote exchanges between member units in the tourism industry, as well as to promote national exchanges between them.
