Turkmenistan participates in meeting on development of Trans-Caspian trade route

A delegation from Turkmenistan is participating in the meeting on the "Action Plan for the Trans-Caspian Trade Route," taking place in Uzbekistan, the website of the agency "Turkmenavtoulaglary" reports.

Representatives from countries such as Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Romania, Moldova, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkey are participating in the meeting. Some of them are attending online.

The meeting is being held within the framework of the TRACECA project, the Europe-Caucasus-Asia Transport Corridor, under the slogan "Trans-Caspian Trade Route - Dialogue on a Joint Action Plan."

In the event in Tashkent, representatives of the Transport and Communications Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, the Turkmen Association of International Road Carriers, the branch of the Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan in Uzbekistan, as well as private transport companies, have taken part.

The aim of the meeting is to strengthen regional cooperation in the field of transportation to increase cargo traffic along the Trans-Caspian Trade Route. Special attention is given to issues related to logistics optimization, customs procedures, and increasing the capacity of border crossings.

The meeting is intended to contribute to further strengthening trade and economic ties in the region and increasing the volume of cargo transportation between Central Asia and Europe.
