President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdymukhamedov chaired a Cabinet of Ministers meeting focusing on key issues of economic development, energy projects, and international cooperation, the state news agency TDH reported.
Deputy Prime Minister for Economy and Finance Khojamyrat Geldimyradov presented plans for Turkmenistan’s accession to several OECD agreements, including the Convention on Mutual Administrative Assistance in Tax Matters and the Multilateral Competent Authority Agreement on the Automatic Exchange of Financial Account Information. The president approved the proposal.
Deputy Prime Minister for Oil and Gas Batyr Amanov announced the completion of the third oil terminal at the Turkmenbashi refinery complex. Berdymukhamedov, via video link, inaugurated the facility, which is designed to handle 2.06 million tons of loading and 1.15 million tons of unloading of oil and petroleum products annually.
Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov outlined measures to strengthen international security cooperation, including exploring Turkmenistan’s accession to the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons, hosting a CTBTO regional seminar in 2026, and expanding collaboration with the IAEA. All initiatives were approved by the president.
