The Turkmen delegation to the OSCE delivered a statement at the Warsaw Human Dimension Conference, organized on October 6 by Finland and the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), reports Turkmenportal.com.

In his address, Hemra Amannazarov, Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the OSCE, reaffirmed his country’s strong commitment to cooperation with the OSCE and its institutions.

Amannazarov highlighted Turkmenistan’s achievements in the areas of human rights protection, humanitarian policy, and social integration, emphasizing the nation’s adherence to the principles of humanism, equality, and international cooperation.

For instance, on September 26, by a decree of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, 225 convicted individuals were pardoned, while another presidential resolution granted residency permits to 142 foreign citizens from seven countries representing fifteen nationalities.

In 2024, the UNHCR officially confirmed that Turkmenistan had successfully resolved all known cases of statelessness within its territory, fulfilling its obligations under the UN global campaign #IBelong. The country now ranks among the world leaders in eradicating statelessness — a clear demonstration of its commitment to international humanitarian standards.

According to the source, Turkmenistan reiterated its readiness to continue close and constructive cooperation with the OSCE, ODIHR, and other international institutions to promote democratic values, human rights, and the rule of law.
