Azerbaijan has allocated a separate section to Turkmenistan in the seaport of Alayat for Turkmen cargo, said President Ilham Aliyev, speaking at the conference "Along the Middle Corridor: Geopolitics, Security and Economics" at the ADA University in Baku, the Azertag agency reports.
“Today, Azerbaijan provides significant opportunities for the transit of goods from Turkmenistan, and in the seaport of Alayat we have allocated a separate section for goods from Turkmenistan,” President Aliyev said.
He also noted that the cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan has a long history, and the hydrocarbon transportation routes that are already operating in the Caspian region can make the coastal countries more integrated.
