The Trans-Caspian gas pipeline, designed to supply Turkmen gas to Europe, is one of the promising megaprojects, President of Turkmenistan Sedra Berdimuhamedov said in his address to the participants of the XXVIII International Conference and Exhibition “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan-2023”, Orient.tm reports.
“Among the promising megaprojects is the Trans-Caspian gas pipeline, through which natural gas will be supplied to European countries,” the Turkmen president emphasized in the context of increasing supplies of Turkmen gas to the world market.
He also touched upon the TAPI gas pipeline (Turkmenistan - Afghanistan - Pakistan - India), in the implementation of which “foreign businessmen have solid prospects for participation.”
In addition, attention was focused on the processing of blue fuel: Turkmenistan is “open to mutually beneficial cooperation in this segment.”
A special role in meeting the demand for gas belongs to the supergiant Galkynysh field, which is undergoing “the scope of large-scale phased development” thanks to the created conditions for attracting investment.
Earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan outlined its position regarding the Trans-Caspian gas pipeline, emphasizing that it does not see any obstacles to its implementation.
