Turkmenistan has reported abundant grain and cotton harvests in 2025, according to TDH.
Farmers delivered more than 1.4 million tons of wheat to the state, along with over 2,100 tons of silkworm cocoons. The country continues implementing reforms aimed at improving public welfare and advancing agriculture — one of its key economic sectors.
State procurement prices for wheat, cotton, and rice have been increased, while daikhan (farmers’) associations are receiving preferential loans. Farmers are also supplied with affordable fertilizers, seeds, and machinery. New flour mills, greenhouses, and livestock complexes are being actively built.
Recently, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in the groundbreaking ceremonies for two major chemical plants — a mineral fertilizer plant in Turkmenabat and a urea production facility in Balkan province. These projects are expected to strengthen food security and boost export potential.
Turkmenistan is also working closely with the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) to adopt advanced agricultural technologies and promote sustainable farming practices.
