Turkmenistan sharply increased its export of melons

This year, the volume of watermelon exports from Turkmenistan increased tenfold compared to the total export volume for all of 2022 and ninefold compared to the total volume of melon exports for 2023, reports "Turkmenistan: Golden Age."

The importing countries of Turkmen watermelons this year were Russia and Qatar. The Russian Federation received 62% of the total exported watermelons, while Qatar received 38%.

The export of melons during the reporting period exceeded the total export volume of melons in 2022 by 1.2 times and in 2023 by 1.4 times.

A significant portion of the melons was sent to Russia, accounting for 79%. Kazakhstan is also among the main importers of Turkmen melons, notes the source.
