To strengthen its tourism potential, Turkmenistan is preparing the project "Development Program of Turkmenistan's International Cooperation in the Tourism Industry for 2024-2025."
The program aims to increase Turkmenistan's appeal to foreign guests, diversify tourism destinations for the country's residents, ease visa regulations, and improve the legislative framework.
Turkmenistan holds the officially recognized status of a neutral country. However, the influx of tourists to the country still lags behind its neighboring regions. The highest number of foreign tourists in Central Asia visit Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.
