UAE called on Tajikistan to establish mutually beneficial cooperation

At the headquarters of the United Nations in New York, within the framework of the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development, a meeting took place between the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan, Zavkizoda Zavki Amin, and the Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Development Fund, Muhammad Saif Al Suwaidi, along with the Deputy Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Competitiveness and Knowledge Exchange of the UAE, Abdullah Lutah.

During the meeting, Zavkizoda Z.A. presented a wide range of investment opportunities in various sectors of the country's economy to the UAE and requested financing for the construction of the "Rogun Hydroelectric Power Plant" and priority state investment projects in the areas of energy, industry, infrastructure, agriculture, irrigation, and climate change. These projects received support, as reported by the press service of the Tajik Ministry.

In response, the UAE side called for mutually beneficial cooperation under the UAE's state program for exchanging advanced experience in public administration, aimed at strengthening the capacity of government bodies, institutions, and individuals.

The Tajik side expressed gratitude to the UAE for inviting cooperation on the fifth initiative of the Republic of Tajikistan within the UN Climate Change Conference (COP 28) and expressed full readiness to work in this direction.
