The first large-scale exhibition of Turkmen art has opened in the MUSE gallery of the Sablon cultural center in Brussels as part of the Civilisations Winter Edition, which presents unique national artifacts and demonstrates the cultural wealth of Turkmenistan. This was stated in a statement by the Turkmen embassy in Belgium, Turkmenportal.tm reports.

The event was organized with the active participation of the European Central Asian Creative Alliance, founded by Elena Kharitonova, and the art studio "Keshde" of Sheker Akiniyazova.

The exhibition presents exclusive examples of Turkmen arts and crafts: handmade jewelry, traditional carpets with unique patterns and exquisite textiles that reveal the depth of national artistic traditions.

Arie Vos, founder of the Civilisations group, called the exhibition an unprecedented project that breaks down cultural barriers and promotes international dialogue. "For the first time, Turkmen culture is so fully represented in the European space," he emphasized.

Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Belgium Sapar Palvanov emphasized the special mission of the exhibition in the context of two significant dates: the International Year of Peace and Trust declared by the UN on the initiative of Turkmenistan and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality. "Culture is a universal language of mutual understanding," the diplomat said.

The event attracted the attention of high-ranking guests: ambassadors, collectors, representatives of European cultural institutions and the art community. Of particular interest were the works of the Keshde art studio, which demonstrate a modern interpretation of traditional Turkmen artistic techniques.

The exhibition will run until January 26 and will be a unique opportunity for the European public to immerse themselves in the rich world of Turkmen art. The organizers emphasize that this is not just a demonstration of artifacts, but a real cultural dialogue aimed at strengthening international humanitarian ties.

Civilisations Winter Edition is an annual project that each year presents rare collections in one of the most prestigious cultural districts of Brussels. This year, Turkmen culture became the central focus of the international art program.
