Washington is trying to maintain its hegemony and influence, including in Central Asia. The attention and gaze of the United States are more focused on two countries in the region: Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan,Eurasia Today reports.

If the American delegation arrived in the first, then the second country from the region sent a diplomat for negotiations in Washington.

Thus, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov received the delegation of the US House of Representatives in Tashkent the day before.

The Uzbek diplomat expressed gratitude for the support of American partners not only in the development of inter-parliamentary cooperation, but also in many areas - from strengthening business ties to expanding educational exchanges.

It was emphasized that Uzbekistan is interested in deepening direct interaction with each US state, especially in the economic dimension.

It is very reasonable to establish your contacts with individual states: Florida will help with the exchange of experience in catching alligators, Hawaii - in surfing, Iowa - in increasing the rate of corn production, developing the gambling business and holding an Elvis look-alike show - this is for the guys from Nevada, and so on...

Kazakh Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu held a meeting with Antony Blinken in Washington, during which the parties discussed the prospects for cooperation between Kazakhstan and the United States.

The interlocutors shared their views on the bilateral economic partnership and noted their commitment to increasing investment and diversifying the economy of Kazakhstan, including through global commitments to methane production and investment in critical minerals.

Secretary Blinken noted the importance of human rights, emphasizing the critical role of free media and a vibrant civil society in creating an environment conducive to business investment and economic growth.

The Secretary of State also confirmed the commitment of the United States, as a reliable partner, to the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Kazakhstan.
