The US Department of State intends to strengthen cooperation with Turkmenistan within the C5+1 platform, the press service of the US Foreign Office said, Trend reports.
"We look forward to continuing our close cooperation with Turkmenistan through the C5+1 diplomatic platform, in order to achieve our common goal of building a prosperous Central Asia. Cooperation between the governments and peoples of Central Asia is the cornerstone of stability, greater democratization and security in the region," the Department of State says.
The US agency argues that expanding bilateral cooperation and increasing regional collaboration to improve trade, security and management of water resources, as well as energy, are priorities under the C5+1.
"We look forward to engaging youth - future entrepreneurs and current leaders, especially women, in promoting professional and educational programs aimed at improving the quality of life of all citizens of Turkmenistan and spreading the rich Turkmen cultural heritage on the world stage," the agency said.
The "C5+1" platform is a format created for joint actions to solve common problems of the United States and the five states of Central Asia.
