Uzbekistan will continue its policy of phasing out the export of oil and gas resources. This became known during an open dialogue with entrepreneurs, which is now being conducted by president Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the Podrobno.uz portal reports.

The President of Uzbekistan in his speech touched upon the issue of entering new markets with high-quality and competitive products.

"One thing must be understood correctly. We cannot ensure high economic growth by selling oil and gas resources, like some countries. We cannot sell our oil and gas reserves, we need them ourselves. We are doing a lot in this direction. God forbid "This winter, our people will see the results of the work done. Our "oil" and "gas" are valuable and high-quality products created from raw materials by enterprising entrepreneurs like you, Mirziyoyev noted.

In order for the products to be of high quality, in demand and competitive in foreign markets, it is necessary to bring production to a completely new level and make a sharp breakthrough, the President of Uzbekistan urged.

“Given that due to the situation in the international arena, logistics costs have increased 3-4 times, the state will consistently continue to support exporting enterprises. Financial opportunities will be expanded for them. An additional $100 million will be allocated to compensate for logistics costs. Also another $25 million will be allocated for the certification of products abroad, the introduction of international standards and the training of specialists in this field," Mirziyoyev said.

The program "New Uzbekistan - a country of competitive products" will be continued this year and the number of enterprises covered by the program will be increased to 500. All benefits of the program will be preserved, the president noted.
