Uzbek energy systems to be modernized by Chinese companies

The energy company "Uzbekenergotamin" has signed a series of strategic agreements for the development of the energy sector in Uzbekistan in cooperation with major Chinese companies, including State Grid, CNTIC, and China XD, Podrobno.uz reports.

Under the agreement between "Uzbekenergotamin" and China Electric Power Equipment and Technology, a subsidiary of State Grid Corporation, joint work is planned in several regions of the country for the construction and modernization of high-voltage electrical networks and substations. This collaboration will introduce modern digital technologies into Uzbekistan's high-voltage electrical grid system.

Furthermore, China National Technical Import and Export Corporation (CNTIC) will assist in creating additional generating capacities for the population of Tashkent and industrial enterprises. To meet the electricity and thermal energy needs of the capital, new, modern, and energy-efficient cogeneration facilities will be launched in various regions of the country.

"Uzbekenergotamin" has also signed an agreement with Xian XD Electric Engineering Company Limited for the localization of the production of highly efficient and modern energy equipment to upgrade and reconstruct power stations in Uzbekistan.
