The Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and China exchanged mutual congratulations over the phone on the occasion of the appointment to the positions of Foreign Ministers of their countries, Nova24.uz reports.

Uzbek-Chinese relations have reached an unprecedented high level, acquired a mature and dynamic character. An active dialogue is being maintained through parliaments, governments, the Foreign Ministry and relevant ministries, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.
The ministers reviewed the schedule and various aspects of the planned activities in bilateral and multilateral formats. Proposals were also discussed to intensify trade and economic ties and accelerate the implementation of projects in the transport and communications sector.
Saidov noted the similarity of the positions of Uzbekistan and China on issues of international and regional security. In addition, the parties confirmed their intention to continue close cooperation in international organizations, mainly in the SCO and the UN.
The telephone conversation between the Foreign Ministers took place in an open, warm and friendly atmosphere. An agreement was reached to maintain working contacts in order to further develop the Uzbek-Chinese comprehensive strategic partnership, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry reports.
Uzbekistan is carefully studying the experience of China and intends to cut poverty in half.
