Uzbekistan and Lithuania held political consultations between Foreign Ministries

Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, hosted another round of political consultations between the foreign ministries of Uzbekistan and Lithuania.

The delegations headed by Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Gairat Fozilov and Deputy Foreign Minister of Lithuania Mantos Adomenas discussed the state and prospects of bilateral relations in various areas of mutual interest, the press service of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry reported.

Particular attention was paid to the intensification of political dialogue and inter-parliamentary contacts, the expansion of the legal framework for interaction and investment cooperation.

An exchange of views took place on building up cultural and humanitarian ties, in particular in the health and education sectors.

On the same day, Fozilov met with Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis and Lithuanian Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications Julius Skachkauskas.

Earlier, the Trade House of Uzbekistan UZ Euro Trade House was solemnly opened in the Lithuanian capital.
