Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan have returned to negotiations on the demarcation of the border, Interfax reports.

Meeting The working group of the Joint Uzbek-Turkmen intergovernmental commission on issues of delimitation and demarcation of the state border held a joint meeting on January 16-21 in Bukhara, the press service of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry reports.

During the meeting, the experts of the two countries finalized and agreed on draft legal and technical documents for border demarcation and agreed on a schedule for further meetings of the working groups.

The Turkmen-Uzbek border is 1793 km long and is the longest border for Turkmenistan. Uzbekistan has a longer border only with Kazakhstan.
