President Shavkat Mirziyoyev discussed issues of bilateral relations with the UAE delegation headed by the Minister of Government Affairs Muhammad bin Abdullah al-Gergawi, the press service of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan reports.
The meeting discussed the prospects for the implementation of projects and programs in the field of high technologies, artificial intelligence, digitalization, modernization of urban infrastructure and unlocking the trade and investment potential of the regions.
The President of Uzbekistan stressed that the above directions should form the future agenda of the upcoming bilateral summit at the highest level.
The parties also expressed interest in expanding cooperation in such areas as:
- increasing the effectiveness of ongoing reforms;
- training of professional management personnel and programmers;
- introduction of e-government and other areas.
Following the meeting, the President of Uzbekistan gave instructions to the heads of the relevant state bodies of Uzbekistan to update the road map, which provides for the acceleration of the implementation of current programs and the preparation of promising projects.
The Minister of the UAE was awarded the Order "Dustlik" of Uzbekistan for his contribution to deepening the Uzbek-Emirati multifaceted relations and supporting the reform program in Uzbekistan.
