Uzbekistan took 87th place out of 163 in the ranking of the most peaceful countries, according to the report of the international rating organization Global Finance, Nova24.uz reports.
In comparison with the indicators of 2022, Uzbekistan lost one position. What the situation looks like in other countries of Central Asia:
- Kyrgyzstan - 91st place;
- Tajikistan - 92nd place;
- Kazakhstan - 97th place;
- Turkmenistan - 103rd place.
The top ten peace-loving countries include Iceland, New Zealand, Ireland, Denmark, Austria, Portugal, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Singapore and Japan.
At the end of the list are South Sudan, Russia, Syria, Yemen and Afghanistan. The rating is formed according to criteria such as social security, the scale of ongoing internal and international conflicts, and the degree of militarization.
