Currently, representatives of more than 130 nationalities and ethnic groups, as well as 16 religious denominations, live in peace and friendship in Uzbekistan. There are 157 national cultural centers and 38 friendship societies in operation. It is not by chance that July 30 - the Day of People's Friendship - is traditionally celebrated in the country as a major holiday, reports Ritm Eurasia.

The friendship of peoples can easily be confirmed by the examples provided in the greeting from the head of state, Shavkat Mirziyoyev. For instance, the educational process in schools is conducted in Uzbek, Karakalpak, Russian, Tajik, Kazakh, Kyrgyz, and Turkmen languages.

The activities of the Houses of Friendship established in the Republic of Karakalpakstan and the regions are comprehensively supported. In particular, the necessary funds for this are directed by the Public Fund under the Oliy Majlis, and subsidies and grants are allocated.

In order to improve the material and technical base of the national cultural centers, the state provides them with the appropriate equipment, furniture, musical instruments, and national costumes. They have been allocated modern buildings where national holidays, festivals, concerts, and meetings, performances by renowned cultural figures, seminars, and conferences are regularly held.

"Uzbekistan is our common home" - this noble idea has become the motto of all national cultural centers' activities, which is a practical embodiment of the atmosphere of interethnic peace and harmony prevailing in our society," emphasized the presidential greeting.
