The non-governmental international anti-corruption organization Transparency International has published a report on the results of 2022.
Uzbekistan took 126th place with 31 points among 180 countries of the world. Over the year, Uzbekistan has risen by 14 positions, improving its results by three points (in 2021 it was in 140th place), UzA reports.

Since its inception in 1995, the Corruption Perceptions Index has become the world's leading indicator of the level of corruption in the public sector. The index is a ranking of 180 countries and territories around the world on the perception of public sector corruption and is calculated based on data obtained from 13 external sources. It uses a scale from zero to 100, with 0 being very high and 100 being very low.

Uzbekistan was noted in this index as a state that demonstrates growth rates over the past six years (from 22 points in 2017 to 31 points in 2022) among countries systematically implementing anti-corruption reforms in Eastern Europe and the Central Asian region.
