Uzbekistan abounds with historical, cultural, and natural landmarks. The full-scale realization of their potential will boost the number of foreign tourists visiting the country throughout the year. With this goal in mind, measures have been developed, as per President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's directive, to effectively harness tourism opportunities.
The plan includes the creation of tourist centers in 12 areas and cities that are most attractive to tourists. These centers, equipped with restaurants, cafes, wellness facilities, and pools, will operate around the clock.
In resort areas like "Zaamin," "Chimgan," "Amirsai," and others, as well as in entertainment complexes, shops featuring international brands, national silk fabrics, souvenirs, jewelry, and gold bars will be established. To achieve this, it is planned to reduce the land and property tax rate for entrepreneurs operating in tourist centers by 90% until January 1, 2027, and by March 1, 2026, exempt them from customs duties on equipment and technologies necessary for the production of jewelry and gold items.
Starting from this year, the "Another Day in Uzbekistan" program will be implemented. It envisions the creation of "republican tourist rings" connecting tourist attractions across regions and "regional tourist rings" between districts and cities. The Tourism Committee will maintain a Unified Register of tourist routes.
The implementation of the "Travel in Every Season" program is also planned. Within its framework, events promoting ecological, extreme, medical, and health tourism in spring and autumn, water and resort tourism in summer, and extreme and ski tourism in winter will be organized. Festivals will be held to mark the opening of tourist seasons.
