Uzbekistan offers employers from Germany to fill the shortage of workers in hospitals, metallurgy, and transportation, the press service of the Agency for External Labor Migration of Uzbekistan reported.

The Minister of Employment and Poverty Reduction of Uzbekistan, Bekhzod Musaev, and the Chairman of the Management Board of the German company Mangold Consulting, Klaus Mangold, discussed issues of professional training and attracting Uzbek citizens to in-demand jobs in Germany.

In particular, it was noted that more than 1000 hospitals in Germany are experiencing a shortage of medical personnel, and Uzbekistan is ready to fill this gap, the statement said.

Demand for labor in Germany is also observed in metallurgy, logistics, and transportation, the statement noted.

"The parties agreed to develop a legal framework for the accelerated implementation of the agreements reached," the press service of the Agency for External Labor Migration of Uzbekistan added.

The hiring process is being slowed down due to language problems, so it is proposed to soften the language requirements. "In particular, it was stated that it is necessary to shorten the duration of German language courses," the press service noted.

In January, Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructed to organize the training of about 100,000 citizens of the country for employment abroad through organized recruitment. Later, the agency announced the recruitment for 50,000 vacancies for work in Germany.
