Uzbekistan signed Memorandum with UAE Ministry of Investment

The Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade, the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan, and the Ministry of Investments of the UAE have signed a Memorandum of Understanding, Darakchi.uz reports.

The memorandum aims to develop investment cooperation between the two countries in priority sectors of the economy, including the production, transmission, and distribution of renewable energy.

The ceremony was attended by Uzbekistan's Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, and Minister of Energy, Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov, as well as the UAE's Minister of Investments, Muhammad Al Suwaidi.

The document establishes a solid foundation for attracting investments, implementing joint research programs, and exchanging technical knowledge, skills, and experience between the governmental institutions, regulatory bodies, and private sector enterprises of both countries.

Forms of cooperation include identifying, exchanging, and evaluating projects and investment opportunities related to the production of wind, solar, and hydroelectric power, as well as the construction of energy storage facilities.
