Uzbekistan is dynamically developing economic cooperation with the EAEU countries in various fields. Over the past two years, more than 1.5 thousand enterprises with the capital of the states of the association have been created in the country, the head of the government of Uzbekistan, Abdulla Aripov, said at a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in an expanded format in Sochi, TASS reports.
Uzbekistan, in the status of an observer, is steadily working to expand trade relations and form new points of economic growth with the EAEU countries, Aripov said.
"Following the results of four months of this year, Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover with the EAEU countries increased by 18% and amounted to about $6 billion. Over the past two years, more than 1,500 enterprises with the capital of the EAEU countries have been created in Uzbekistan due to the spent investments," Aripov said.
In addition, Tashkent continues to interact with the Eurasian Economic Commission upon completion of the three-year plan of joint activities this year. Within the framework of this cooperation, more than 200 meetings and consultations have already been held, aimed at exchanging experience in the field of regulating the economy and removing obstacles to the development of trade and attracting investment, Aripov explained.
