In Uzbekistan, there are plans to build a modern transport and logistics center with the participation of Chinese investments, according to a press release from JSC "Uztemiryulkonteyner," Sputnik-Uzbekistan reports.

The construction of the center was discussed in Tashkent during a meeting between the leadership of JSC "Uztemiryulkonteyner" and Nancy Tang, the commercial director of the Chinese company "Shenzhen Neptune Logistics Co. Ltd."

"Nancy Tang noted the favorable conditions being created in Uzbekistan for Chinese companies and announced that the company plans to allocate around $10-15 million in direct investments for the construction of a transport and logistics center in Uzbekistan," the statement said.

The parties also discussed issues related to the joint use of logistics centers of JSC "Uztemiryulkonteyner," the establishment of new logistics centers, and the improvement of distribution services.

Proposals were made for the creation of modern category A+ warehouses in Uzbekistan to provide distribution services.

Additionally, cooperation matters regarding container transportation from the provinces of Xi'an, Chengdu, and Shenzhen along the multimodal route "China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan," as well as along existing transport corridors to Turkey and European countries, were considered.
