Uzbekistan's Cooperation Priorities In EAEU Outlined

Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov announced the implementation of more than 600 joint industrial projects with CIS and EAEU partners, totaling $70 billion, reports Sputnik Uzbekistan.

Speaking at the plenary session of the international exhibition “Innoprom. Belarus”, he outlined key areas for further cooperation, including the development of technological minerals, energy, and digital technologies.

Aripov emphasized that Uzbekistan possesses a significant mineral resource base and is establishing “Metals of the Future” technoparks in the Tashkent and Samarkand regions, inviting partners to participate in joint projects for the production of high value-added goods. In the energy sector, he highlighted the attraction of over $6 billion in foreign direct investment and the growth of electricity generation from 59 to 82 billion kWh, with plans to achieve a 54% share of green energy in the coming years.

The Prime Minister paid special attention to the development of digital technologies, proposing to combine efforts for the exchange of practical solutions and artificial intelligence models. He also announced the creation of new digital platforms, data centers, and IT clusters in Uzbekistan. Aripov reaffirmed the country’s readiness to expand cooperation through the annual “INNOPROM. Central Asia” exhibition in Tashkent, where agreements worth more than $5 billion were signed this year with the participation of representatives from 35 countries. He also invited partners to implement joint projects in the creative industries and to strengthen cooperation between technical universities.
