VIth World Nomad Games to be held in Uzbekistan

The right to host the next, 6th World Nomad Games, which will take place in 2026, has been transferred to Uzbekistan by the decision of the leadership of Kyrgyzstan, the country's presidential administration announced.

Earlier, it was reported that the 6th World Nomad Games would be held in Kyrgyzstan, but on August 27, it became known that they would take place in Uzbekistan, Sputnik Kyrgyzstan reports.

The World Nomad Games are an international event, and Kyrgyzstan, as the initiating country, is proud that this event has gained global significance, the Kyrgyz Presidential Administration commented to the agency.

"Two years ago, the World Nomad Games were held in Turkey, and this year the event will take place in Kazakhstan. The World Nomad Games have become a true national treasure, symbolizing the cultural heritage and traditions of nomadic peoples. By the decision of the country's leadership, the right to host the next games has been transferred to brotherly Uzbekistan, which reflects the strong ties and friendship between our peoples," the Kyrgyz Presidential Administration stated.

The World Nomad Games are a brand of Kyrgyzstan. They were first held in 2014. In 2016 and 2018, they were also held in Kyrgyzstan. In 2022, the games were held in Turkey, and this year they will take place September in Kazakhstan.
