In the first 11 months of 2024, freight traffic along the China-Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan-Iran (CKTI) route increased by 31% compared to the same period last year, Newscentralasia.net reports.
This conclusion was reached during an expert meeting in Beijing dedicated to the development of the CKTI route.
According to Kazakhstan's transport and logistics company KTZ Express, the meeting reviewed the route's performance in 2024 and discussed prospects for its further development.
The increased freight traffic along the CKTI route reflects growing market interest in this direction and confirms the effectiveness of measures taken to improve logistics services. Advantages of the CKTI route include shorter delivery times compared to sea routes, reliable infrastructure, and direct access to key markets in Asia and the Middle East.
The discussion focused on critical aspects of the route's development: increasing delivery speeds, optimizing customs procedures, and implementing modern digital technologies to simplify logistics processes.
The route continues to develop as one of the key corridors in international trade, the source notes.
