Against the backdrop of the global crisis, Turkmenistan remains on the list of countries with a positive FDI rate, despite a global decline of 12%.

The decline mainly affected developed countries, where investment inflows fell by 37% to $378 billion. Developing countries increased this figure to 4%.

Attracted investments are mainly aimed at the development of the Turkmen fuel and energy sector, the chemical industry and agriculture.
