The import of goods from South Korea to Kyrgyzstan increased from $372.8 million in 2022 to $1.171 billion in 2023, according to data published by the South Korean Customs Service, Economist.kg reports.
According to the Korean Customs, the volume of South Korean goods imported into Kyrgyzstan increased by 3.1 times.
Kyrgyzstan's exports to South Korea also demonstrated a significant growth of 4.1 times. In 2022, this indicator was $541 thousand, and by the end of 2023, the export volume increased to $2.221 million in monetary terms.
It is worth noting that over 80% of goods from Korea are automobiles. Kyrgyzstan exports food products to Korea, such as organic fruits, mountain honey, and others.
