The U.S. administration is interested in transforming the Joint U.S.-Turkmen Business Council into the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Turkmenistan. Ambassador Matthew Klimow made this statement during a press conference, Trend reports.

The deputy representative also confirmed that the embassy actively supports the Executive Director of this council, Eric Stuart, who is making efforts to strengthen contacts between the Turkmen and American business communities.

"The U.S. Embassy in Turkmenistan is facilitating contacts between American buyers interested in exporting from the Turkmen side, including petrochemicals, urea, and fertilizers," the publication noted.

The head of the American diplomatic mission also affirmed readiness for further collaboration in the business sphere, building on the foundation laid by this Council.
