The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan has announced the launch of a working group to assess the prospects for the country’s socio-economic development, the press service of the Tajik ministry reports.
The main goal of the group is to identify new sources of development, improve the population’s standard of living, and ensure food security. It is expected that key performance indicators will be achieved by 2027–2028.
Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Tajikistan, Farhod Vasidiyon, emphasized the significance of this initiative. According to him, the group’s work aims to find new sources of development, improve living standards, ensure food security, and contribute to the overall economic development of the country.
Over the past five years, Tajikistan's average economic growth rate has been 7.7%, surpassing the figure of the previous five-year period.
