President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a video conference with representatives of banks to discuss tasks aimed at increasing household incomes, the press service of the Uzbek President reports.
“2025 will be a decisive year for ensuring employment and reducing poverty,” stated Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Mirziyoyev emphasized the need to scale the positive experiences of central and regional banks to provide real support to the population.
He noted that in recent years, banking activities have become more effective, promising positive changes in the country's economy. Over the past six years, as part of the family entrepreneurship program, 750,000 citizens have started their own businesses, creating 58,000 new enterprises.
The president also discussed reducing unemployment in some districts. To address this, plans include leveraging the experience of entrepreneurs from other regions, providing businesses with preferential loans, and making additional investments in infrastructure.
