Director of the Executive Committee of the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (RATS SCO) Ruslan Mirzaev told in Tashkent at the conference "Modern Security: Challenges and Solutions", speaking about the results of the structure's activities for 2021, Sputnik reported.
Mirzaev said that last year the competent authorities of the countries of the organization prevented 41 terrorist attacks and 283 crimes of a terrorist, extremist and separatist nature.
The special services also stopped the activities of 62 conspiratorial cells of international terrorist organizations and 203 leaders, members and accomplices of these organizations.
More than 200 weapons, about 28 thousand pieces of various ammunition, 97 improvised explosive devices, including422 kg explosives and more than a ton of drugs were seized from illegal circulation.
In addition, operational services uncovered 26 funding channels, 74 arms trafficking channels, and 19 illegal migration channels.
About 240,000 information resources propagating the ideas of the "three evils": separatism, terrorism and extremism have been blocked on the Internet, Ruslan Mirzaev noted.
