Kyrgyzstan received $2 billion 928.3 million through money transfer systems from individuals in 2022, according to a report by the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan, the Akchabar.kg portal reports.
94.9% of money transfers to Kyrgyzstan came from Russia - $2 billion 780.2 million, 1.9% - from the USA - $54.9 million and 0.44% - from Turkey - $12.9 million.
Compared to 2021, there is an increase in the inflow of remittances by $172.1 million, or by 6.24%.
At the same time, the balance of remittances, inflow minus outflow, in 2022 amounted to $1 billion 727.3 billion, which is 21.3% lower than in 2021, when the balance was $2 billion 193.5 million. The largest volume of outflow of money transfers is also observed in Russia, 77.24% from the total volume.
