In Kyrgyzstan, the budget has doubled over the past three years, stated the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Akylbek Japarov, at a meeting of the Collegium of the Presidential Administration of Kyrgyzstan.

According to him, if in 2020 the consolidated budget of the country amounted to 247.7 billion soms, then in 2023 the budget resources reached 577.2 billion soms.

"In fiscal policy, we are implementing technologies that meet the requirements of the time. Taxpayers are satisfied with this. They no longer need to wait in line to submit reports. There has also been significant progress in the use of cash registers - today, their number exceeds 100,000 devices, and over the past three years, this figure has increased sixfold. We will continue this policy," said Akylbek Japarov.

The head of the cabinet of Kyrgyzstan noted that the promotion of domestic and foreign investments will be strengthened, emphasizing that the development of the industrial sector is a priority.

"We are actively opening new enterprises. As part of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Region, it was planned to open at least 100 new ones. Since the beginning of 2024, 29 enterprises have been put into operation. Large projects are being implemented, such as the construction of the Kambarata HPP-1 and the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway. To maintain the current pace, professionalism, a creative approach to work, and iron discipline are needed," he said.

Japarov also added that new milestones in tourism development will soon be reached. Three major infrastructure tourism projects will be implemented: "Kyrgyz Courchevel," "Baitik Resort," and "Chatkal Resort."

"The country has now begun the construction of Kyrgyz Courchevel. The French company S3V, one of the first operators of the world-famous resort, is implementing the 'Three Peaks' ski cluster in Kyrgyzstan. There will be 200 km of ski slopes. The resort will operate year-round and will be able to accommodate up to 850,000 tourists annually. It will be the largest recreation area in Central Asia. Work is also underway to create the 'Baitik Resort' cluster. The possibility of opening the 'Chatkal Resort' ski cluster in collaboration with Uzbekistan is being considered," stated the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan.

At the end of 2023, Kyrgyzstan's GDP amounted to 1.2 trillion soms, or $14.1 billion.

Compared to the corresponding period of 2022, GDP increased by 6.2%.

Growth was driven by the service sector (almost 50.8%), industry (32.3%), and net taxes (16.9%).

According to the results of the first half of the year, the growth of the Kyrgyz economy amounted to 8.1%, the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan stated.
