Construction of automobile plant launched in Kyrgyzstan

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov laid the foundation stone for the construction of a plant for the production and sale of automobiles in the Sokuluk district of the Chui region, Economist.kg reports.

The construction and launch of the plant are being carried out by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, local enterprises in collaboration with the Chinese company "China Hubei Zhuoyue Group." The first-stage investment volume will be $115 million, with a projected capacity of over 80,000 vehicles per year.

The project, focused on assembling electric cars, commercial and passenger vehicles, as well as special equipment, aims to manufacture and sell vehicles and related products in the international market.

It is expected that the plant will boost the development of the country's automotive industry, increase the industry's share in the GDP, and create additional jobs. The launch of the plant is anticipated in August 2024.
