The creation of the Anti-Drug Center of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization was discussed at interdepartmental consultations in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan.
The meeting was attended by experts and heads of relevant departments of the SCO member states. They discussed the implementation of the project. According to experts, the Center will open in the capital of Tajikistan as a permanent body. Its efforts will be aimed at preventing the challenges and threats posed by drug trafficking.
The President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon came up with the initiative to create an Anti-Drug Center within the framework of the SCO.
