The official delegation of Turkmenistan held talks in Baku with President Ilham Aliyev, the press service of the President of Azerbaijan reports.
President Ilham Aliyev received a delegation of Turkmenistan headed by Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan for Trade Batyr Atdaev, the report said.
The Turkmen delegation is in Baku to participate in the meeting of the Joint Turkmen-Azerbaijani Intergovernmental Commission for Cooperation in the Economic and Humanitarian Spheres.
At a meeting with the President of Azerbaijan, issues of developing cooperation between countries in energy, transport, and logistics were discussed. The meeting noted the increase in trade between the countries and emphasized the importance of implementing new joint projects that will further expand trade cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan.
In addition, such topics as cooperation in shipbuilding, ship repair, as well as other industries were discussed.
