The loan portfolio of projects of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in Tajikistan was estimated at 524 million euros by the end of 2022, the Trend agency reported.

The loan portfolio for Tajikistan includes the implementation of 68 projects, the EBRD said in a statement.

Most of the portfolio (88% or 460 million euros) is focused on investments in sustainable infrastructure, 7% or 35 million euros - on investments in industry, trade and the agricultural sector, and 6% or 29 million euros - on investments in financial institutions, the EBRD said.

In total, the bank has invested more than 908 million euros in 157 projects in Tajikistan.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development has been cooperating with Tajikistan since 1992 and is the country's leading investor.

The EBRD pays special attention to improving Tajikistan's infrastructure, developing regional links and employment opportunities in the country.
