EDB to help Kyrgyzstan develop digital infrastructure

Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan - Head of the Presidential Administration Akylbek Zhaparov, during a meeting with Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Development Bank, curator of the Digital Initiatives Fund (EDB FCI) Tigran Sargsyan, instructed to create a joint interdepartmental working group. The main activity of the group will be the development of digital projects implemented jointly with the FCI EDB, reports Akchabar.kg.

Including the participation of Kyrgyzstan in the project of the mobile application "Work in the EAEU" and the expansion of the capabilities of the application "I travel without COVID-19".

The instruction to create a working group was given in the context of the implementation of the memorandum signed on February 20 between the FCI EDB and the Ministry of Digital Development of Kyrgyzstan.

The Fund, in accordance with the document, begins active support for the development of digital solutions for public administration and public services in electronic form in the Kyrgyz Republic. Special attention in the memorandum is paid to the support and participation of the parties in the development of digital solutions in the field of digital cooperation and the transformation of light industry, medical tourism, jewelry trade, as well as the development of digital infrastructure in the republic.

FCI EDB intends to support and participate in the development of digital solutions in the field of healthcare, migration and tourism.

“The FCI EDB has a successful experience of cooperation with the republic when launching the “I travel without COVID-19” application, which allowed citizens of the Eurasian space to travel safely in the midst of a pandemic. We plan to transform and develop this product further. I think that the next implemented project will be the accession of Kyrgyzstan to the application "Work in the EAEU", which ensures the comfort of labor migration," Sargsyan added.
