Exercises of special forces of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan held in Issyk-Kul

Joint tactical and special exercises and training are being conducted at a military training ground in Issyk-Kul involving special forces units and engineering-sapper units of the national guards of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, Sputnik Kyrgyzstan reports, citing the press service of the Kyrgyz General Staff.

The military personnel of both countries are practicing the preparation of special forces units.

"According to the plan, joint exercises will cover tactics, special operations, mountain training, and other subjects. Special training sessions will also be organized for the engineering-sapper units," the message states.

The exercises will take place until August 2 at the training center of military unit No. 20636 ("Edelweiss") in Issyk-Kul near the city of Balykchy.

Earlier, joint exercises were conducted by the militaries of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
